What Your Land Must Provide

To establish a Van Club Certified Location, you will typically need:

Land Requirements

  • Minimum ½ acre of fairly level, usable ground

  • Safe access with clear visibility

  • Passing points if on a narrow access road

Essential Facilities (within 100m and not across roads)

  • Chemical waste disposal point (sealed tank or mains connection)

  • Separate rinse tap with non-return valve

  • Separate drinking water tap with non-return valve

  • General waste disposal (recycling encouraged)

  • Toilet facilities – not compulsory but strongly recommended

Layout & Safety

  • Minimum pitch spacing following the 6 metre fire safety rule

  • Clear access for emergency vehicles

  • Safe manoeuvring space
