Valentine’s weekend saw 14 vans braving the cold for a weekend of fun, food, and some questionable quiz answers.
Friday night, we were treated to live music from a Neil Diamond tribute act—sweet Caroline, indeed! Some of us even opted for the Valentine’s meal (though it turned out to be more of a group banquet than a romantic dinner for two!).
Saturday was a washout—rain, rain, and more rain! Thankfully, we were on hardstanding, so no mud baths were required. While some ventured out for a rainy countryside walk, the bike ride was voted off the agenda (probably wise!). Instead, the group huddled together for an epic skittles competition, which brought out everyone’s competitive streak—we’re sure some secret professionals were hiding among us!
The evening brought Christa’s legendary quiz, which had everyone scratching their heads and accusing their tablemates of making up answers. It was the perfect way to round off a day spent dodging raindrops.
Sunday morning, we gathered for a quick coffee morning to chat about upcoming rallies. The best part? Some of our non-members signed up to The Van Club on the spot! Nothing beats seeing our community grow. A few members stuck around for a proper Sunday roast, before heading home for a well-earned siesta (because let’s be honest, rallying is exhausting!).
