The gentle sound of waves lapping against Norfolk’s coastline, the sight of those famous striped cliffs catching the morning sun, and the buzz of fellow van enthusiasts gathering for days of pure adventure. This is what awaits you at our Hunstanton Summer Rally, and we couldn’t be more excited to share why this coastal gem has become one of our most beloved destinations for the hunstanton van rally.
Why Hunstanton Captures Our Hearts Every Summer
When we first scouted locations for our summer rallies, Hunstanton immediately stood out as something special. This charming Norfolk seaside town offers everything we value most in our rally destinations: stunning natural beauty, vibrant community spirit, and endless opportunities for memorable experiences, making it ideal for the hunstanton van rally.
The town’s award-winning beach stretches for miles, backed by those iconic striped cliffs that have been photographed countless times but never lose their magic. What makes Hunstanton truly special for van life enthusiasts is its perfect blend of traditional British seaside charm and modern amenities, all within easy walking distance of our rally field.
We’ve chosen 24-29 July 2025 for our summer gathering because this timing coincides with the famous Hunstanton Flower Festival, adding an extra layer of colour and celebration to our already packed schedule. Our rally field at Hunstanton Community Centre (Avenue Road, PE36 5BW) positions you perfectly to enjoy both our organised activities and the town’s own summer festivities.
Your Five Days of Coastal Adventure
Thursday 24 July marks the beginning of our adventure, with check-in opening at 12 pm. We’ve learned that arriving on Thursday gives you the perfect opportunity to settle in, meet your neighbours, and soak up the anticipation for the days ahead.
Friday 25 July brings the official start of the Hunstanton Flower Festival at Old Hunstanton Village Hall. We’ll spend the day exploring the beautiful displays before returning to our rally marquee for live evening music. Our Jacob’s Table shared buffet has become a rally tradition, where everyone contributes a dish and we feast together like one big family. The evening culminates with our “Come Drink With Me” cocktail and mocktail challenge – a fun competition that always sparks laughter and creativity.
Saturday 26 July offers something for every energy level. Early risers can join the Hunstanton Promenade parkrun, a scenic 5k route that showcases the coastline at its most peaceful. The Town Hall hosts a craft fair with refreshments, whilst the Flower Festival continues its second day. Our evening Music Bingo in the rally marquee has become legendary among our members – it’s amazing how competitive van lifers can get about their musical knowledge!
Sunday 27 July features our guided Geocaching Walk, where we’ll explore hidden corners of Hunstanton whilst hunting for treasure. The Flower Festival reaches its finale, and The Green hosts an open-air Rock Choir concert that fills the summer evening with beautiful harmonies. We’ll wrap up the day with our traditional Quiz Night in the marquee.
Monday 28 July takes a gentler pace with relaxed Games Night, perfect for those who want to wind down whilst still enjoying the community atmosphere that makes our rallies so special.
Tuesday 29 July brings our Farewell Coffee Morning, where we’ll reflect on the weekend’s highlights and one lucky member will win a FREE 2-day rally pass for a future event.
Throughout all five days, our Beach Games remain available for free play on Hunstanton beach. We provide equipment for volleyball, frisbee, and other seaside fun, though the real entertainment often comes from watching everyone’s competitive sides emerge!
What Makes Our Hunstanton Rally Exceptional
We’ve structured our Hunstanton Van Rally to balance organised activities with free time, ensuring you can enjoy both community connection and personal exploration. The location places you minutes from award-winning beaches, within easy stroll of charming cafés and traditional pubs, and right in the heart of summer festivities.
Our rally fees reflect our commitment to making van life adventures accessible to everyone. Three nights costs just £60, four nights £80, and the full five nights £90. These prices include electrical hook-up and all on-site activities, representing incredible value for a peak-season coastal location.
We particularly love how family-friendly Hunstanton proves to be. Children adore the beach games and safe swimming areas, whilst adults appreciate the sophisticated evening entertainment and daytime activities. Our membership structure of £35 per year covers two adults and two children per van, making family adventures both affordable and inclusive.
The prize for best dressed van adds an extra element of fun and creativity to the weekend. We’ve seen some absolutely brilliant decorations over the years, from subtle seaside themes to full-scale transformations that leave everyone amazed.
Making the Most of Your Hunstanton Experience
Beyond our organised schedule, Hunstanton offers countless opportunities for independent exploration. The town’s promenade stretches along the coast, perfect for morning walks or evening strolls. Local cafés serve excellent fish and chips, whilst the pubs offer cosy atmospheres for quiet pints after busy rally days.
The Hunstanton Flower Festival runs throughout our rally dates, providing daily opportunities to admire beautiful displays and perhaps gather inspiration for your own van garden projects. The timing couldn’t be more perfect for combining our community activities with this beloved local tradition.
For those interested in extending their stay, Norfolk offers exceptional touring opportunities. The Broads provide peaceful waterway scenery, whilst historic Norwich lies within easy driving distance. Many of our members use the rally as a base for exploring the wider county, returning each evening to share stories and recommendations.
