Join The Van Club for a 24-night Germany & Poland Adventure, exploring historic cities, the Baltic coast and some of Poland’s most memorable sights. Enjoy a mix of organised excursions, shared meals and free time, with fellow members travelling alongside you throughout the journey. Discover Germany and Poland Our adventure begins at Doktor-See near Rinteln, where a welcome dinner offers the chance to meet your fellow travellers. Spend time relaxing beside the lake, exploring the historic town or cycling along the Weser. We then head to Potsdam, staying at lakeside Camping Sanssouci. An organised coach excursion to Berlin includes a guided walking tour exploring key landmarks and the city’s Nazi-era history, followed by free time to explore. Crossing into Poland, we visit Poznań, with its colourful Old Market Square, cafés and Renaissance Town Hall, before continuing to Toruń, known for its beautifully preserved medieval Old Town. Our stay in Sopot brings time beside the Baltic Sea, with sandy beaches, seaside restaurants and opportunities to relax. A guided coach excursion to Gdańsk includes a walking tour of the Old Town, free time for lunch and a visit to the Oliwa district and cathedral. Next comes Malbork, where an audio-guided visit lets you explore the magnificent castle at your own pace, with a two-course lunch included. In Warsaw, a guided excursion introduces the capital’s history, Old Town and former Jewish quarter, with lunch and free time to explore. We then continue south towards Kraków. During our Kraków stay, enjoy a traditional Polish folk evening, featuring local music, a buffet and included drinks. We will also visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum for a guided visit reflecting on the lives lost during the Holocaust. A further excursion takes us underground at the Wieliczka Salt Mine, with its remarkable chambers, salt sculptures and chapel. This visit involves considerable walking and stairs and may not suit those uncomfortable in enclosed spaces. We continue to Wrocław, with time to explore its colourful squares, historic streets and famous dwarf statues, before returning to Germany for our final stop near Dresden. A farewell meal and return transport into Dresden round off the adventure, with free time to discover the city.
